Part 2 - from Root to Fruit: An exploration of plants, soil, and the self

This is an eight-month customized experiential with weekend intensives the second weekend of every month. This course is Part 2 of the Herban Roots Apprenticeship. Instead of going deeper into a clinical aspect, we choose the route of diving deeper into the knowledge of the self, the soil, and our plant allies. This does in fact mean that graduation from Herban Roots Apprenticeship Part 1 - Foundations in Herbalism is a prerequisite for this course.

Each monthly circle will be focused solely on one plant ally. We will journey and meditate with it, explore the tastes and energetics of it through experiencing multiple preparations such as tinctures, teas, honey, and essences, reflect on the knowledge this plant carries for us personally and as a community, work to harvest it and use it for that following month.

These intensives will spiral around the grounding aspect of expanding a community teaching garden that began in year one of Level 2, as well as a book club discussion that will take place on Saturday morning.

There’s an additional component to this course which is one-on-one spiritual/business coaching sessions with Jessie. Together we will explore what excites and ignites your spirit around herbalism and your personal practices. How can we encourage your growth and development in sharing your innate, unique gifts with your community and the world? How can we help you to become wildly abundant in sharing your spark? How can I/we support you in finding your channel? For this focus, two one-on-one meetings will be arranged at the beginning and towards the end of the course.

This course is for you if you want to:

  • Continue down the path of herbalism and receive abundance while doing so.

  • Learn how to design and create a teaching/medicine/herb garden.

  • Learn more about gardening/farming/permaculture, etc.

  • Get to know 8 plant medicines REALLY well.

  • Have more beauty and ritual with a shared community in your life.

  • Dive deep into what personal path you would like to journey down in the avenue of herbal medicine and you would like a loving and compassionate guide with whom to do so.

  • Further connect with a small community of fellow plant enthusiasts that share a similar focus and body of plant knowledge as you.

This course also includes an end-of-the-course final project of co-creating a “Greenwitch Herbal Grimoire” as well as a plant ally trading circle in December.

Plants we allied with last year:

Tuition

I am keeping this group super small for the first year in order to experiment. Due to the fact that I am testing the waters, I am offering this course at a deep discount. Thank you for helping me to explore this new avenue!

The apprenticeship costs is $1,500. This price will ensure an energy exchange and the cost of materials.
